BADSHAHBOOK: Match 13 of IPL 2023 lived up to its billing as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) humbled the defending champions, Gujarat Titans in a thrilling match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday, April 9.
The Titans began batting first and scored 204 runs with 4 wickets, due to a fifty in just 21 balls from Vijay Shankar, who came into the game in the place of the not-so-well Hardik Pandya. The all-rounder smashed four boundaries and five sixes to register his best knock in the cash-rich league as GT scored 51 runs off the last 15 balls of the innings.

Rinku Singh hit five sixes in the last over as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Gujarat Titans in a thrilling IPL 2023 encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. When KKR needed 29 runs in the final over, Rinku smashed the deliveries of Yash Dayal with five sixes one after the other.
Venkatesh Iyer did justice by making 83 runs in just 40 balls, however, could not take his team over the finish line. Rashid Khan bagged a hat-trick to turn the game in GT's favour. However, Rinku saved his best for the final as KKR grabbed victory from the jaws of defeat.

Prior to this, Sai Sudharsan and Vijay Shankar slammed fifties to overpower Gujarat Titans to 204 runs by losing 4 wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 13th match of the IPL 2023 in Ahmedabad.
Shankar got to a difficult-to-beat 63 runs in just 24 balls after Sudarshan scored 53 runs in 38 balls that helped GT keep ticking in the middle overs. In the next match on Sunday, SunRisers Hyderabad opted to bowl against Punjab Kings.
The Titans are scheduled to play their next match on Thursday, April 13 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. On the other hand, the Knight Riders will further face Aiden Markram's Sunrisers Hyderabad, who vanquished Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 8 wickets on Sunday.
