The Gujarat Titans got off to a poor start, with two of their in-form players, Wriddhiman Saha (4) and Sai Sudarshan (20), back in the pavilion, leaving the defending champions in a precarious position at the end of the powerplay.
However, Shubman Gill (45) and Hardik Pandya (28) then joined forces to salvage the situation, stitching a solid 59-run partnership to keep their team in the game and set the stage for a late onslaught in the innings.
The South African batsman, David Miller, played a crucial role for the Gujarat Titans, scoring 46 off 30 balls. Along with Abhinav Manohar, the two provided the final flourish, with a 45-run partnership that featured three boundaries and five maximums, propelling Gujarat Titans to a respectable total of 177 for seven.
