With a daunting target of 213 runs to chase, Mumbai Indians managed to pull off the improbable victory with just three balls remaining.
David played a pivotal role, scoring a blistering 45 runs in just 14 balls, while Tilak Varma remained unbeaten at 29 off 21.
The Mumbai Indians' innings began on a positive note, with Cameron Green and Ishan Kishan providing a solid foundation, reaching 47/1 after five overs. However, Sandeep Sharma's dismissal of Rohit Sharma, who could only score three runs, put a temporary halt to their momentum.
Rajasthan Royals posted an impressive score of 212/7, thanks to Yashasvi Jaiswal's outstanding performance, scoring his maiden IPL century by smashing 124 runs in just 62 balls. Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, conceded 200 runs for the third game in a row.
Before the match, Rajasthan Royals had the upper hand, reaching 90/1 after 9.1 overs.

Winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals elected to bat first against Mumbai Indians. Jofra Archer and Arshad Khan returned to the playing XI for Mumbai Indians, replacing Behrenfdroff and Arjun Tendulkar.
Mumbai Indians had a disappointing run in recent games, losing two matches in a row and dropping to ninth place on the points table with just 6 points from seven games. In contrast, Rajasthan Royals were in second place, with 10 points from eight games, looking to reclaim the top spot.

Mark Boucher, Mumbai Indians' coach, commented on Rohit's performance, stating that he values Rohit as a crucial player and leader in the team. Boucher also mentioned that if Rohit feels the need for a break, they will address it accordingly.
