BADSHAHBOOK: Mumbai Indians faced defeat at home by seven wickets against Chennai. With this defeat, MI are still looking for their first win of the season. MS Dhoni after winning the toss decided to bowl first against Mumbai Indians. MI posted 157 runs on the board.
MI and CSK are two of the most decorated teams in the history of the Indian Premier League with nine titles, five of which were won by Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai.
Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first against rivals Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali missed out for CSK due to their injuries, while Mumbai Indians dropped Jofra Archer as a precaution due to his fitness concerns. Two of the most successful franchises fought with each other to prove their superiority over each other.
Mumbai Indians star batsmen Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green fell against RCB, but Tilak Varma emerged as the unlikely hero of the side with a magnificent half-century to guide his team to a fighting total. However, Mumbai Indians' bowlers were lacking intensity and they failed to restrict RCB openers Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli.
Ajinkya Rahane hit a dazzling 61 runs in 27 balls, the quickest half century of the season, as Chennai Super Kings hurtled home by 7 wickets in an IPL match against Mumbai Indians on Saturday. MI batted first at just 157 runs in 8 off 20 overs, with Ishan Kishan's 32 runs off 21 balls as well as 'Impact Player' Tim David's 31 runs off 22 balls being the main contributions.

Ravindra Jadeja with 3 wickets for 20 was one the most successful bowlers whereas spinner Mitchell Santner and pacer Tushar Deshpande took 2 wickets each. In response, Rahane hit 7 fours and 3 sixes as CSK won the battle in just 18.1 overs. Rahane's 50 came off just 19 balls. CSK now have two wins in three games while MI have lost both matches so far.
MI vs CSK is also hailed as 'El Clasico' of the IPL due to their intense rivalry. MI have won the title five times while CSK have won four IPL titles. In what could be MS Dhoni's last IPL, he is looking to win a record fifth trophy before bidding farewell to the fans. Rohit Sharma and Jofra Archer might be the key players for MI while Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dhoni and Ben Stokes may hold the ladder to CSK's success in this game.
