Just after the toss, PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan said that he also wants to bat first so that the Kings can give the home team a big target.
But this statement hasn't gotten old! Prabhsimran Singh got out the beginning ball of the match. Ace seamer Bhuneshwar Kumar got this wicket and put pressure on the visitors. After that golden duck, the PBKS batting was just floundering. It was Mayank Markande's brilliant spell that destroyed the PBKS batting line-up. With figures of 4 for 15, Markande has done a brilliant job.

As the wickets fell, only one man stood tall - Kings of Punjab captain Shikhar Dhwan. His unbeaten 99 helped PBKS to a respectable total. Even after this loss, Dhawan was declared Man of the Match.
After the show from the bowlers, the SRH batsmen made sure that their efforts did not go in vain. While the Sunrisers got off to a slow start as they lost the openers quite early in the game, Rahul Tripathi and captain Aiden Markram rose to the task of leading the team to that elusive victory. Tripathi's 74 off 48 deliveries along with steady support from Markram helped Sunrisers win the match by 8 wickets with 17 balls to spare.
