Lucknow Super Giant's (LSG) Ayush Badoni scored his first fifty of the season, rescuing the team from a disastrous top-order collapse. Badoni remained unbeaten at 59 off 33 balls before play was stopped due to the weather.
Chennai Super Kings' (CSK) Moeen Ali and Maheesh Teekshana delivered exceptional spin bowling performances, taking two wickets each, while Jadeja grabbed one.
In the IPL 2023 match at Ekana Stadium on Wednesday, CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first against LSG. Krunal Pandya led LSG as regular captain KL Rahul was ruled out of the game due to injury.
Manan Vohra and Karan Sharma were also part of LSG's playing XI. CSK, the four-time champions, is having a remarkable season with 10 points and a positive net run rate, securing them a spot in the top four.
Meanwhile, LSG remains in a solid position despite their recent defeat against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rahul's injury. They currently hold the third position on the table and will aim to climb higher by defeating CSK at home.
