RCB have not won a single game this season but the playoffs have been very interesting. RCB had a run rate of less than 6 in the 12th over of the innings, but at the end of the innings averaged around 7.5 RPO (runs per over) and eventually managed to score 149. Shikha Pandey scored 23 runs from 4 overs and took 3 impressive wickets. Meanwhile, no other player except Tara Norris could take a wicket from DC's Heather Knight.
The winning team once again struggled to reach their target in just 19.4 overs. Derry Capitals' Meglanning got off to a good start with an average strike rate of 83.33, before Alice Capsey scored 38 runs from just 24 balls and bagged a total of 8 boundaries (4 seconds). Jess Jonassen was DC's top performer as he had 29 runs in 15 balls, four of which were fours and one super six. Sobhana Asha took two wickets while maintaining an economy of 6.75 runs per over. Meanwhile, Preeti Bose and Megan Schutt added 1 wicket with an economy average
of 12 and 6 RPO respectively.
The match was remarkable as RCB seemed to win the game till the end of the second over, but like so many times, the match was turned around and the match ended in a basket.
